I have just been in the health and beauty freebies and noticed a free adhesive remover for people with a certain medical condition, just wondering if the people who have sent off for it actually need it?

I only ever apply for things I need and often don't bother with satchet samples anymore as I tend to forget that I have them.

Me too Rhishy - only ever try the things I would actually end up buying (and usually do).
I also forget about the sachets, although they always sound like a good idea at the time so haven't applied for any for a long time.

You make a good point Looby.

I only apply for things I know I can use or want to try before buying.
I don't get as many things these days but I'm happier than trying for stuff I know I won't have a use for.
I don't apply for any of the charity ones or ones that are only for businesses.

Re the sachets,  I stopped applying for a lot of them as some are so tiny and I don't think you can get a good idea from a tiny amount.

I'm in the same boat, I only ever apply for things which I can use, and will likely buy again

I will usually only apply for the ones I can use.

I don't want to discourage anybody posting freebies though.  They may sound a little odd to you, but you never know, there may be somebody who does actually need them or know someone who does.

if i or someone i know can use the product then i apply for it but i know someone (not a member of this site) who applies for anything and everything and when she receives things they usually sit in a drawer!

the important thing to remember is that samples cost a company money. someone has to bear the brunt of those costs and its usually the consumer although we dont relaise that we are paying for these because internal costs are added to the cost of products we buy

i also think that if you know for a fact that you will never buy the company's product then its a bit mean to request a sample
